A Tikkun Olam Tu b'Shevat Seder

Wednesday January 27, 2021

With Rabbi Jonathan Seidel, Maggid Jonathan Furst and special guests including

Rabbi Leah Novick, Kohenet Keshira haLev Fife,

Rabbi David Seidenberg, Reba Connell. Miriam Schwartz-Kanani, Judith Kate Friedman,

Dr. Ami Goodman & Friends

Inaugurate this new era of spiritual growth and protection for the Earth with an Eco-Kabbalistic celebration of the New Year for Trees. Join us for song, story, sacred science, mindful eating, meditation, and teachings on the ancient roots of Tu B'Shevat. We will enter into Tree Time, rejoining the pace of the Living Worlds to help catalyze our own work for restoring balance in this new world of hope, despair, and possibility.

What Might I Want to Have Ready?

  • Wine or grape juice -- both red AND white

  • Tree fruits/nuts with an inedible shell (oranges, bananas, roasted bay nuts, etc.)

  • Tree fruits with a pit (olives, avocados, manzanita berries, etc.)

  • Tree fruits you can eat entire (figs, kumquats, serviceberries, etc.)

  • Fragrant tree fruits/bark (cinnamon, sumac berries, bay leaves, etc.)

Co-led by Rabbi Jonathan Seidel and Maggid Jonathan Furst. Special guests include Rabbi Leah Novick — renowned leader in the field of feminist Jewish ritual and Earth-based Judaism — as well as Kohenet (Hebrew Priestess) Keshira haLev Fife, Rabbi David Seidenberg, Reba Connell, Miriam Schwartz-Kanani, Judith Kate Friedman, and Dr. Ami Goodman

Presented by the Aquarian Minyan and Keneset HaLev. Cosponsors include Or HaGan,

Derech HaAretz Outdoor Yeshiva and JeWitch Collective.
